Rose Huila is a traditional natural specialty coffee from Huila, Colombia. It is produced by growers associated with a regional cooperative; the project began with five coffee-growing families in central Huila.
This lot combines Castillo, Caturra and Cenicafé 1, grown between 1,400 and 1,750 m.a.s.l. Ripe cherries are selectively hand-picked from August to October, then dried in the open air using a traditional natural process.
Cup profile: sweet, fruit-forward and juicy. Look for raspberry, red plum, red apple, apricot and pineapple, balanced by panela, cacao and dark chocolate. A lemon-like lift keeps the cup fresh and lively.
Lot specification: Huila, Colombia · Castillo, Caturra and Cenicafé 1 · traditional natural process · 1,400–1,750 m.a.s.l. · SCA 86 · screen 15/19 · 11.10% moisture · 739 g/L density · 0.60 water activity.
