La Cocha is an Colombian specialty coffee from Nariño, one of Colombia’s most recognised high-altitude coffee regions. The coffee is grown between 1,600 and 2,300 m.a.s.l., where mineral-rich soils and mountain conditions help create a clean, sweet and structured cup.

This lot is produced by a cooperative network founded in 2011 with the goal of supplying certified, high-quality Colombian green coffee. Their work focuses on long-term relationships, transparency and shared values across the coffee supply chain.

La Cocha is a washed Arabica coffee made from Castillo, Caturra, Colombia and Typica varieties. The process includes selective hand-picking, cherry reception, pulping, aerobic fermentation, washing, parchment density sorting and open-air drying.

Cup profile: fruity, sweet and approachable. Expect yellow peach as the main flavour note, supported by mandarin, cane sugar, light caramel, milk chocolate, cacao and cranberry raisin. The cup shows clean sweetness, gentle acidity and a rounded chocolate-caramel finish.

Technical details: Colombia · Nariño · Terras Orgánico · washed process · Arabica · Castillo, Caturra, Colombia and Typica · 1,600–2,300 m.a.s.l. · organic certified · SCA 84 · aerobic fermentation · screen size 16/19.

Brew suitability: ideal for specialty coffee drinkers looking for an organic Colombian coffee with a balanced fruit-and-chocolate profile. Recommended for espresso, moka pot, French press, filter coffee and everyday milk-based drinks.
